Founded by Philip Cranmer (he/him) in November of 2025, Cleveland Autism Treatment Specialists (CATS) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on providing comprehensive mental health care and other supports for neurodivergent adults in Northeast Ohio.
Phil has over ten years experience as a mental health provider in Northeast Ohio treating clients as young as 6 and as old as 26 with a variety of concerns. His specialties include Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity (ADHD), anxiety, depression, substance misuse, complex trauma, psychosis, and Obsession-Compulsion (OCD). Phil brings an approach to his therapeutic style that is warm, collaborative, solutions-focused, and enhances motivation for change. His licensure and certifications are as an independently licensed professional counselor supervisor (LPCC-S), independently licensed chemical dependency counselor (LICDC), ADHD certified clinical service provider (ADHD-CCSP), and autism spectrum disorder clinical specialist (ASDCS).
As Phil steps into this new role as founder and Executive Director for CATS, his goal is to change the landscape of care in Northeast Ohio by introducing Ohio’s first agency dedicated to the unique needs of the adult neurodivergent population by creating a space to house mental healthcare and a selection of services tailored towards addressing those concerns neurodivergent people have.
An LGBTQIA+ ally with his own flavor of neurodivergence, Phil enjoys spending his time with friends, family, and strangers at concerts, or while hiking, camping, getting tattoos, or exercising, and spending time at home with his five cats and one dog and his partner. Phil loves to cook, throw parties, and play board games such as Settlers of Catan or tabletop roleplaying games, especially Dungeons and Dragons. Phil supports organizations that promote worker’s rights and the rights of others in the LGBTQIA+ community. Find him at your local farmer’s market or favorite brewery and feel free to say hello!
